Intelligence information of the Colombian Navy, members of the Military Forces found the whereabouts of the vehicle where the drug was traveling.
At the entrance of the municipality of Bayunca on the road to the sea that leads from Barranquilla to the city of Cartagena, the Colombian Navy and the National Police managed to find 121 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride that were being transported in a truck type vehicle.
The inspection was carried out by troops of the Navy Battalion No.12, attached to Navy Brigade No.1 and units of the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the National Police, who, guided by intelligence information of the Colombian Navy, intercepted the vehicle carrying the illegal merchandise.
After a rigorous inspection procedure, members of the Military Forces found 120 packages of the drug hidden in five suitcases inside the container in the middle of wooden sheets.
