This activity for the benefit of the inhabitants in the same way had the support of the Social Manager of the municipality, the Naval Social operation and the National Army.
In order to bring a message of hope and joy to children from all corners of the country this Christmas, thanks to the joint work conducted by the Colombian Navy and the Finsocial Foundation it was possible to distribute in Providencia and Santa Catalina 1,000 presents that were given to the children of these islands of the Archipelago hit by the Hurricane Iota.
With the support of the Social Manager of the municipality, the officials of the foundation and the Naval Institution toured the island reaching priority sectors such as: Punta Rocosa, Casa Baja, Agua Dulce, Pueblo Viejo, Santa Catalina, among others. Where the thousand presents were distributed to an equal number of children, islanders, raizales, from 0 to 14 years old who live in these communities.
The presents provided by the Finsocial Foundation were brought from Barranquilla to the island region on board a Naval Aviation aircraft and distributed with the support of members of the Naval Social action, the Colombian Navy and the National Army, who support the reconstruction work on the islands of Providencia and Santa Catalina within the framework of Operation Renacer.
The Colombian Navy, through the Specific Command of San Andrés and Providencia, thanks the Finsocial Foundation for this type of alliance that brings hope and joy to the most vulnerable inhabitants of the country, while ratifying it will continue to support with its human talent and naval means this type of activities for the benefit of the comprehensive well-being of islanders and raizales.
