Thanks to the Corazón Amigo Plan that has been implemented by the Colombian Air Force, it reached one of the most vulnerable areas of San Andrés, refurbishing the recreation area and the kiosk at the Brooks Hill School, in La Loma sector.
This infrastructure project consisted of the refurbishment of the park and the kiosk, which were donated 10 years ago by the Colombian Air Force for the benefit of all students and, over time, suffered deterioration due to use and environmental conditions.
The site counted on the presence of the Secretary of Education of the Department, Lucila Morelos Páez, who made the traditional ribbon cutting; the rector of the school, Mrs. Edelmira Archbold Hawkin; the commander in charge of the Caribbean Air Group, Lieutenant Colonel Luis Fernando Coral Patarroyo; the parents, and the children of the school.
Thanks to this work, it was possible to adapt the spaces so that students can carry out their playful and recreational activities in a safe place and, in addition, make the purchase of their food which contribute to their growth.
