In operations on the River Caguan, units of the Navy of Colombia, jointly with the National Army found more than 2,500 gallons of fuel, in an operation that took place in the main dock of the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá - Caquetá, where the troops found this raw material being transported illegally in a wooden boat currier type.
Troops of the River Navy Battalion No.31, attached to the Joint Task Force Omega, carried out the inspection of the ship named El Victoria, which was being manned by a man, who was illegally transporting 2,580 gallons of gasoline-type fuel, violating the rules established for the transport of controlled substances in accordance with resolution 001 of January 08, 2015 of the National Narcotics Council, which establishes controls on substances and chemicals. The man did not carry the regulatory supports to transport this material, so the boat was immobilized as well as the material found by the authorities.
The Colombian Navy, through its units in the rivers of the south of the country, will continue to carry out operations to work for compliance of the regulations established by law for the transport of fuel, while inviting society to denounce the criminal activities of organizations at the service of smuggling that commit crimes in this region of the country.
