This important result is a new and powerful blow to the finances of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, represented at approximately 260 million pesos.
Colombian Navy troops, in coordination with the National Police, through intelligence and investigation, hit the sources of financing of the GAO Clan del Golfo, when they found 50 kilograms of creepy marijuana and one kilogram of high purity cocaine hydrochloride, which were being transported through a courier services company.
The case was reported in the capital city of Sucre, where the illegal merchandise was found by troops of the Navy Battalion No.14 in cardboard boxes that had plastic bags as concealment systems. The shipment would come from Medellín and its final destination would be Sincelejo, according to the investigation carried out. No arrests were reported during the procedure.
This finding thwarts 60 thousand doses of these substances from being acquired by the young sucreños, preventing the effects of their consumption as well as loss of the brain, specifically to the parts responsible for memory, learning, attention, decision making, coordination, emotions, and reaction time.
