In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, in operations, coordinated with the National Police, managed to find 297 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in the municipality of La Brava, in the District of Tumaco.
Through military intelligence, troops of Jungle Battalion No.53, in coordination with the Sijin (Judicial Police) of the District of Tumaco, carried out a checkpoint where some individuals, upon noticing the work of the unit, tried to escape, but thanks to the timely reaction of the troops it was possible to intercept two suspicious vehicles on kilometer 43, in whose interior were found by troops 297 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, achieving a loss of more than 10 million dollars to the finances of the Farc dissidents who commit crimes in the Nariño Pacific region.
This coordinated operation conducted by the Military and the National Police prevented the monthly circulation of 742,500 doses of narcotic drugs on the illegal international market. The two vehicles and the material found were put into custody of the authorities.
With this result, the finances of these criminal organizations, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures who perpetrate drug trafficking, will be hit.
