In recent days, in search and river control operations, Colombian Navy units reported the finding of more than 20,000 gallons of fuel on the Cauca and Magdalena rivers in the Colombian Caribbean.
The operations were carried out on the Cauca River, near the municipality of Nechí (Antioquia), where 14,820 gallons of gasoline and 2,334 gallons of DIESEL were found by troops, in addition, on the Magdalena River near the municipality of Gamarra (Cesar) were found by troops 2,940 gallons of gasoline.
Troops of the River Navy Battalion No.17, of Joint Task Forces Aquiles and Marte, stopped the boats and at the time of the inspection, they found the fuel which does not possess the certificates for the management of chemical substances, which, apparently, would be used as precursor for the machinery of illicit exploitation of mineral deposits in these regions of the country.
