The drug, which would cost more than 19,200 million pesos, was found thanks to the training and ability of counter narcotics dogs prepared to detect hallucinogenic substances.
In the constant operation of the National Army against the illegal activities and criminal organizations that converge in the north of the country, the troops of the Navy of Colombia and the Prosecutor's office, found simultaneously in two sectors of the municipality Sitio Nuevo, in the department of Magdalena, 1,952 kg of illicit substances, which would belong to the Organised Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The first operation took place in the rural area of the village Villa Clari. There, thanks to the ability of trained counter narcotics dogs, 1,339 kilograms of creepy marijuana and 13 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride hidden underground were found by troops.
Meanwhile, the second finding took place in the municipality of Palermo. There, members of the Military Forces found 498 kilograms of creepy marijuana and 102 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in a house.
According to information of the State authorities, the 1,952 kilograms of illicit substances would cost more than 19,200 million pesos, which would enter the illegal finances of GAO Clan del Golfo that commits crimes in this area of the country.
In the same way, it was possible to establish that this drug would be destined for the illegal market of several countries in Europe.
With this resounding result it was possible to hit again the logistical and financial component of that organized armed group.
