As part of the commitment of the Colombian Military Forces to the comprehensive development of the communities on the Colombian Pacific coast and the department of Department of Department of Chocó, a Development Support Activity is planned for this Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10, in the people of Munguidó, municipality of Litoral del San Juan (Department of Chocó).
For this activity, led by the Colombian Navy and the National Army, there are various medical services such as optometry, internal medicine, dentistry, gynecology, psychology, general medicine and vaccination. In the same way, talks will be given on the prevention of illegal recruitment, domestic violence and prevention of sexual abuse.
During this Activity, it is expected to benefit more than 1,200 inhabitants of Munguidó and nearby municipalitys such as Copomá, Pangala, Porchía, Taparel and Palestina, among others. In parallel, recreational and leisure activities will be carried out to strengthen the bond of partnership and cooperation with people.
This activity will be possible thanks to the support of institutions such as the Pacific Mission Support Command and the Professional Officers of the Naval Reserve, Misión País Foundation, Colombia Solidaria Foundation, Revida Foundation, Medicos Amigos Foundation, and the local and regional authorities of the municipality of Litoral del San Juan and the department of Chocó.
The Colombian military reaffirms its commitment to the security, well-being and comprehensive development of the Chocó communities and will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen democracy and consolidate governance in all regions of the country.
