In the last few hours the National Army achieved an important result against the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, after dismantling a complex for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, in the rural area of Cumaribo, Vichada.
In the municipality of San José de Ocune, Army troops in a coordinated operation with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the Police, found seven wooden buildings which contained inside chemical precursors for the production of the drug.
In the structures were found by troops 180 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 200 liters of cocaine-like substance, 1,600 gallons of gasoline and DIESEL, 1,375 gallons of acetone, 250 kilos of bisulfite, three plastic tanks and other elements that would cost more than two billion pesos, which were used for the production of this illegal substance.
According to military intelligence, the money obtained by the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo through this illicit activity is used as the main source of financing for the purchase of military equipment with the purpose of attacking the Military Forces.
