Within the framework of the operation against drug trafficking organizations in the Colombian Caribbean, units of the National Navy and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, arrested three alleged members of a transnational drug trafficking network, in Cartagena, Bolívar.
Through judicial investigation work that was being carried out since 2020, it was possible to identify an important drug trafficking structure, as well as the individualization and finding of three individuals required with an arrest warrant for extradition purposes by the Southern Court of the District of New York (United States).
The individuals known as Cris, Roger and Hugo, were in the city, allegedly coordinating the departure of illicit substances to ports in Central America and the United States in the mode of container pollution, through a false export company.
The arrests made in compliance with an arrest warrant in force for extradition purposes, were made effective in a commercial establishment in Bocagrande, by members of the Military Forces of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.12 and CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) units of the Attorney General's Office.
