In compliance with the Heroes de la Libertad Bicentenary Campaign Plan, the Hercules Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force continues its operation against the structures of Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the Nariño Pacific region.
In decisive operations to mitigate the factors of instability, troops of the Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force Hercules, in a joint operation with the National Army, the Navy of Colombia, coordinated with the National Police and also with the Attorney General's Office, arrested alias Yair or Calidoso and four members belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Ariel Aldana Structure, in the municipality of Roberto Payan, Nariño.
Thanks to military and police intelligence efforts through an arrest warrant, troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No.6, the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.41 and the criminal investigation and Interpol section of the Nariño Police found these individuals, who had valid arrest warrants for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, manufacture, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts and ammunition.
Alias Yair or Calidoso was one of the most wanted in the department of Nariño. He led the GAO, residual structure Ariel Aldana of the second marquetalia, and connoted, intelligence on members of the Military Forces, to conduct actions in the frame of Gun plan, the identification of targeted killings of the inhabitants of the municipalities of Roberto Payan and Magüí Payan, where he made criminal interference.
In the same way, this individual would be in charge of coordinating, leading and executing criminal activities such as the collection of money, extortion from merchants, illegal mining, collection of war material, drug trafficking activities and the displacement of the communities of the Telembí triangle.
On the other hand, among those arrested there is in the same way alias Alexis and alias Kike or Morado, in charge of the collection of extorted money and the execution of criminal intelligence to inform the movements of the Military Forces.
At the scene it was in the same way possible to find four shotguns, a pistol, a revolver, ammunition, ammunition and coca paste base. The material found and those arrested were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
This result hits the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and confrontations with other structures that commit crimes such as drug trafficking.
