Units of the Navy of Colombia during a coordinated operation with the National Police, achieved the finding and subsequent destruction of 40 kilos of ANFO, powerful explosive that, according to information from naval intelligence, was intended to be used by criminals to attack against the Military Forces and the people of Buenaventura.
The operation took place in the village of La Barra, a major tourist destination on the Pacific coast, where, thanks to the work of territorial control and intelligence, was found an illegal hideout in which was found the explosive material, according to the research, this material belonged to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, and would be used as a retaliation by the overwhelming blows dealt by the authorities to this criminal organization in the last few months.
The explosive material was destroyed in controlled conditions, no arrests occurred during the operation.
