The Eighth Division of the National Army informs:
1. On Friday, May 27, at night, the Marginal Road of La Selva was blocked at two points in the departments of Casanare and Arauca, by those who would be members of an armed group organized outlaw.
2. One of the blockades was in the freight section that connects the municipalities of Tame and Fortul, in the department of Arauca; there three truck-type vehicles were crossed to obstruct the traffic of this important road. Meanwhile, the road line leading from Hato Corozal, Casanare, to the Populated Center of San Salvador, Arauca, was blocked by two trucks and a bus, which were painted with graffiti alluding to the extinct FARC.
3. Immediately, National Army troops arrived at the two points of the blockades and with expert anti-explosive personnel carried out the work of checking the vehicles to rule out the presence of explosives.
At this time, traffic was already recovered in the two departments.
4. This command categorically rejects this type of terrorist acts that violate human rights and only cause damage to the inhabitants who live in the sector.
