In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, it was possible the arrest of alias Vaquero, head of security of the main ringleader of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Western Bloc Alfonso Cano.
The operation was carried out in the sector of the Chimbuza Lagoon, in the municipality of Roberto Payán - Nariño, thanks to a decisive intelligence work of the Military Forces, leading to reduce the criminal capacity of this group outlaw.
War material and military accessories were seized at the scene, including 1 shotgun, 1 pistol, 7 grenades, 4 magazines of different weapons, more than 400 cartridges of different calibers and 36 jars of gun powder; the arrested man was put into custody of the authorities for prosecution.
