The military operation carried out in the rural area of the municipality of Linares in the same way led to the finding of war material and communications.
In inter-institutional military operations, troops of the National Army, together with the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, arrested in the in recent hours three alleged members of the terrorist support networks of the organized armed group ELN, Jaime Toño Obando Company. Apparently these people would be carrying out activities of purchase and marketing of narcotics in the sector where the arrests were made.
The operations were carried out simultaneously in the Bella Florida and El Tablón villages, in the municipality of Linares, in which 10 search warrants were issued against this organized armed group, which resulted in the arrest of two men and a woman, accused of the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying and/or possession of firearms and trafficking, manufacturing and/or carrying narcotics.
It is worth mentioning that these people would allegedly be involved in four homicides that have occurred in the municipality of Linares, harming the security and tranquility of this area of the department of Nariño.
In the same way, the troops found five firearms, ammunition of different calibers, 500 grams of coca paste, 12 cell phones and a flag alluding to the ELN; this material was put into custody of the authorities for their respective judicial process, as well as the arrested personnel.
Through these important results, the National Army ratifies its commitment to work to improve the security of civilians, working for the preservation of life and contributing to the search for total peace in the Colombian southwest.
