An Angel helicopter of the Colombian Air Force arrived in Vigia de Fuerte, Antioquia, to carry out the humanitarian aeromedical evacuation of a young indigenous woman in a state of pregnancy that presented complications.
After being alerted by the National Personnel Recovery Center -CENRP, the Air Combat Command No. 5, sent one of its aircraft to carry out the mission, transferring the young mother, belonging to the Embera indigenous people, to the city of Medellín where an ambulance was waiting for her in the Pedro Justo Berrio Battalion, to take her to a health center.
During the flight, the vital signs of the minor and the fetus were monitored, by a doctor and a nurse of the aircraft, working along with health personnel who were waiting for her in the Antioquia capital city.
The Air Force uses its Resources as far as necessary, reaching where no one else reaches to save lives throughout the length and breadth of the country, it works to protect Human Rights.
