The security strategy in addition to the checkpoints in the roads mainly in tourist places, contemplates urban and rural areas in municipalities such as Acacias, Villavicencio, Restrepo, Granada, San Martín, Castilla la Nueva, Cubarral El Calvario, El Castillo, El Dorado Fuente de Oro, Guamal in the department of Meta, where this weekend there will be a main effort for the cycling sports activity of the Giro de Rigo los Llanos edition, in addition to the operation of the Unified Command Post (PMU) of the Llanera Culture Park Las Malocas .
In the department of Vaupés, the main support is carried out in the urban centers of the municipalities of Carurú, Mitú and Taraira and in the three non-municipalized areas such as Pacoa, Papunaua and Yavaraté, sectors that are guarded by land and river. It is expected that for these long weekends, the indigenous communities will be able to receive tourists who are already arriving at the Fabio Alberto León Bentley Airport, in Mitú.
On the other hand, the ancestral jungle of the department of Guaviare, becomes one of the tourist attractions and places of greater reception of people from other regions for this long weekend. So the soldiers remain vigilant on roads and rural areas of the municipalities of San José del Guaviare, Miraflores, Calamar and El Retorno.
In addition, the Fourth Division of the Army has a platoon made up of 30 soldiers specialized in emergency in the frame of the rains in case of being necessary.
