With a wide deployment of maritime, river and Ground Battalion units, the Colombian Navy increased operational efforts to find the disappeared two men and two women, one of them a signatory of the Peace Agreement, who were allegedly intercepted by armed individuals when they were traveling on a boat in the Cajambre River, rural area of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca.
According to information provided by the civil authorities of Buenaventura, the four Colombian citizens were intercepted when they were traveling on a boat near the sector known as Punta Bonita, on the Cajamarca River, apparently by alleged members of the FARC dissidents who intimidated them and directed them against their will to a jungle area.
Once the action was known, the search operation in the area began immediately, in the same way, it is working in a coordinated way with the civil and police authorities of Buenaventura to find the whereabouts of these people and bring to justice those responsible.
In the same way, a security meeting was held with the participation of the Secretary of the Municipal Government, the People's Representative for Municipal human rights, the Ombudsman's Office and the Colombian Navy, where strategies were established with the aim of intensifying efforts to find the disappeared persons and provide security to the inhabitants of the region.
