The Brigade of Engineers of Assistance and Prevention of Disasters of the National Army has been assisting people in the frame the emergencies derived of the rainy days during the months of October and November and the following actions are reported:
Assistance in the frame of 28 emergencies in departments such as Antioquia, Santander, Valle del Cauca, Cesar, Atlántico, Cundinamarca, Magdalena, Guajira, Córdoba and Meta.
More than 10,000 humanitarian kits have been distributed.
Twelve interventions in tree cutting due to heavy rains, to have free mobility on the roads and risk mitigation.
Assistance in the search and rescue of a missing person due to mass movement in the department of Antioquia.
Emergencies have been controlled by attended in land removal, general engineering work, search and rescue of people, geological fault monitoring, where a great effort has been made to preserve the good physical condition and life of people, as well as supporting in the restoration of essential services of people hit by this phenomenon.
Removal of more than 5,000 cubic meters of mud and plants material.
Men and women of the Brigade of Engineers of Assistance and Prevention of Disasters of the National Army will continue to work wherever they are wanted to provide humanitarian aid, ensure the good physical condition and life of the people hit by this season caused by rains.
