A UH-60 helicopter of the Colombian Air Force with Bambi Bucket equipment arrived in the rural area of the municipality of Liborina, Antioquia, to support the firefighting efforts to deal with fire which consumed about 40 hectares of forests and native vegetation.
The aircraft and crew of the Air Combat Command No. 5, along with relief agencies such as the DAGRAN, National Police, EPM forest rangers, Liborina and Sabanalarga firefighters, joined forces to stop the flames that grew quickly due to the heavy winds that occur in the area.
2,640 gallons of water were discharged over this area to extinguish the conflagration.
The Colombian Air Force deploys its resources for the conservation of fauna, flora and protection of natural resources.
