- Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in different operations coordinated with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police and units of the Military Forces, achieved the rescue of a person kidnapped by the Residual Organized Armed Group and four releases of other citizens deprived of liberty (one by the hands of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, and three by common crime).
- In the same way, they achieved the arrest of 26 individuals for the crime of extortion of which (two members of the residual GAO; one of the Clan del Golfo; three of Organized Armed Groups; five of Organized Crime Groups and 15 of common crime).
As for the crime of kidnapping, there were nine arrests of which (one was part of the residual GAO; one of the Organized Armed Groups; three of Organized Crime Groups and four of common crime).
One of the most important operations of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) units in recent days was in which the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caribe and Gaula Elite arrested in flagrante delicto alias Paco, a feared ringleader of the Los Pachenca gang, at the time he was receiving money from extortions from one of the victims living in Barranquilla.
Another of the operations to highlight was the one carried out by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Casanare in coordination with the National Police, who achieved the arrest of the ringleader of substructure 45 of the Residual Organized Armed Group FARC Atanasio Girardot, who is known as William, wanted by the Colombian justice for the crimes of aggravated extortion and association to commit crimes.
It should be noted that with these arrests, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) units significantly hit the criminal structures of the Los Pachelly Organized Gang; the La Local substructure Los Shottas Gang; the San Pablo de Antioquia Common Crime Group, Conquistadores de la Sierra Nevada Organized Crime Group; Los Costeños Organized Crime Group; the Gonzalo Oquendo Urrego substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, substructure 45 of the GAO residual Atanasio Girardot and Urías Rondón, as well as the La Local substructure, Los Espartanos.
The Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) will continue to conduct operations to work to raise the security of the community, protect the freedom and heritage of Colombians and weaken the finances of illegal organizations.
