In the course of operations of institutional military control, under the guidelines of the Ayacucho Plan and within the framework of the inter-institutional effort, the National Army and the Attorney General's Office dismantled the finance group of substructure 39 of the Residual Organized Armed Group, with the arrest of that one who would be its main ringleader, the individual known as Peru or Steyler.
The operation in the same way reported the arrest by court order and in flagrante delicto of three individuals, including the alleged main ringleader of the armed group of structure 39, alias Charly; in the same way the recovery of a minor, who was put into custody of the institutions for the restoration of his rights.
The events took place in the vicinity of the village Unibrisas of the municipality of Mapiripán, Meta. Those arrested were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office 113, in order to conduct their prosecution process.
During the military and inter-institutional operation, it was possible to find seven pistols, more than 150 ammunition for pistol and 29 for long-range rifle. In the same way, explosive material was found, including almost a hundred nonelectric detonators, eight rolls of detonating cord, 26 empty charges, a significant amount of a substance that apparently could be AMFO, pentolite and a fragmentation grenade.
Additionally, military accessories material, a large sum of cash, cell phones, four checkbooks that they would be using as receipts alluding to the residual GAO, substructure 39, a stamp referring to this same criminal organization and documents of interest for security agencies were seized at the scene of the events.
With the materialization of these arrests, it was possible to strategically hit the command structure of substructure 39 and the finance subsystem, taking into account that the two arrested ringleaders are accused of criminal operations in the southern area of the Meta department.
Alias Peru or Steyler would be the head of the finance group and would have criminal interference harming the security and tranquility of the inhabitants of the municipalities of Mapiripán and Puerto Gaitán, Meta.
Alias Charly, according to the authorities, belonged to substructure 10 where he was known by his belligerence against the Military Forces.
He has an arrest warrant from the 10 Arauca prosecutor for the crimes of homicide and extortion, where he had intimidated residents of the region and to evade the action of justice he moved to the department of Meta, where he would have arrived as group leader and would have continued directing armed actions against civilians and the productive business groups.
