In the course of maritime control operations carried out by the units of the Colombian Navy, in the central Pacific, a suspicious Go Fast type ship manned by three individuals carrying drugs was found. The operation was supported by international cooperation and the Colombian Air Force.
In the process of interception, the individuals, noticing the work of the military personnel, conducted evasive maneuvers to escape, without any success. During the inspection of the ship, 21 pressed packages and 11 barrels were found by troops, some with fuel, which were taken to a Colombian Navy ship that was in the area, along with the personnel, to whom medical assistance and food were provided.
Subsequently, they were transported to the port of Buenaventura in Valle del Cauca, where it was determined that the illegal merchandise left positive result for 777 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. The illegal elements were put into custody of the authorities.
With this finding, the income of more than 26 million dollars in these organizations from the sale on the international illegal market and the distribution of approximately two million doses on the streets of the world were prevented.
