At the Tunal alto sector of the municipality of Sumapaz, Mayor Claudia López, together with the Commander of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, Brigadier General Rodolfo Morales, sent a message of tranquility to the inhabitants of that region and thanked the work of the troops of the High Mountain Battalion No.1 in the paramo of Sumapaz, the most extensive in the world.
For his part, General Morales informed that there are 4 checkpoints in the area whose mission is to raise the security of the inhabitants, protect natural resources and contain any arrival of organized armed groups in the region.
