In the seventh activity of the International Book Fair of Bogotá, edition 35, the National Army, through its Center for Historical Studies (CEHEJ), introduced the books: Getting to know Military Society through Sociology and Getting to know Military Society through Anthropology, publications in which researchers and professionals experts in these social disciplines participated to deepen on aspects related to the military institution and the humanistic way in which they can be approached.
During the presentation of the publication, a discussion was held called: Thinking Anthropology in Military Contexts, where personalities such as doctor in Theoretical and Social studies Ana María Forero, as well as the anthropologists Valeria Salgado Marín and the second sergeant Laura Arenas participated.
In the academic environment, various topics related to the understanding of the dynamics in the military field were addressed, along with the challenges and particularities of the anthropological perspective in these contexts, which leads to an understanding of the institution and its relationship with other public institutions.
