In two maritime operations, Coast Guard units of the Colombian Navy reported the evacuation of two people, an elderly adult and a minor, who were in emergency in the sectors of Puerto Luz (Magdalena) and the Santa Cruz Islet (Bolívar).
In the first operation, crew members of the Primary Coast Guard Station of Santa Marta received an emergency call by the Port Authority, informing about a group of people who needed to be evacuated of the rocky sector of Puerto Luz (Magdalena), because one of them was injured as a result of a heavy fall.
Immediately, a Rapid Reaction Unit was sent to the emergency area, identifying a 16-year-old boy who had multiple bruises on his body, being helped and evacuated aboard the Naval Unit along with his father to the dock of the Rodadero Norte sector (Santa Marta), where he received medical evaluation and was taken to a hospital by the city's Health Secretariat.
On the other hand, in a second operation, units of the Coast Guard Station of Coveñas conducted the medical evacuation of an 86-year-old adult who presented a cerebro-vascular accident, so he was taken accompanied by his son to the Pestolú pier (Sucre), where he was received by Tolú Firefighters, who transported him to a medical center to receive specialized care.
