The Military Forces through the National Army, on May 3, carried out a Development Support Activity, in the village of Panama, municipality of Arauquita (Arauca), in compliance with the Ayacucho Plan.
During the activity carried out at the Pedro Nel Jiménez Education Institute the soldiers of the Special Energetic and Road Battalion No.16 Lanceros del Pantano de Vargas and civilian personnel of the Military Forces benefited 500 people with health and recreation activity for children, youth and adults.
During one day, 160 people received medical assistance in general medicine, pediatrics, psychology and dentistry; 120 were trained by the National Learning Service – SENA-, and 100 by the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing – ICBF-.
In an atmosphere of music, games and singing, the soldiers organized recreational activities for 120 children, who in the same way received presents through the unified operation of the State.
This activity was possible thanks to the coordination with the Mayor's Office of Arauquita, ICBF, House of Culture, Communal Action Board, Panama Arauquita Hospital, Arauquita Municipal Inspector, Cultural and Sports Secretary, Family Defender, Sena Learning Institute of Arauca, Santander Bank of Arauca, San Lorenzo Hospital of Arauquita, Medical Dispensary of the Military base of Puerto Jordán.
