This work leads to improving the quality of life of more than 600 people living in the rural area.
Through a work of unified action, the National Army, the Ministry of the Interior, the Government of Antioquia and the community carried out the construction of 46 meters of road plaque in the village of El Tigre, in the municipality of Apartadó, in the department of Antioquia.
For more than 20 days, the soldiers of the Engineer Battalion No.17, together with the community, came together to start this important project that will benefit more than 600 people, especially minors, since it is a mandatory step to get to the school of the hamlet.
“Thanks to these angels, I can only say that heroes do exist in Colombia, and I have them here in the village of El Tigre. It may be only 46 meters, but it is the beginning to continue with our ways and lead our farmers to get their products out," says Gertrudis García, President of the El Tigre Communal Action Board.
