At the Gran Malecon sector Puerta de Oro, locals and tourists will be able to enter the Flagship of Colombia for free, from Friday 02 to Sunday 04 June.
The Colombian Ambassador to the seas, the ARC Gloria Training Ship will arrive tomorrow Friday in Barranquilla to start the training cruise No. 30 of the Naval School of Non-Commissioned Officers, in which it will travel more than 1,600 nautical miles, crossing the waters of the Magdalena River to reach the Port of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, visiting San Andrés and Providencia until returning to La Arenosa on June 30, 2023.
The Flagship Vessel of Colombia will open its doors on the Gran Malecón sector Puerta de Oro, free of charge, on Friday 02 and Saturday 03 June between 09:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and on Sunday 04 June form 07:30 a.m. to 12:00 m., for locals and tourists to know the history of the Colombian Navy and its Bicentenary Sailors, who, for 200 years have been over all cardinal points protecting sovereignty and also working to raise the maritime and river defense of the country.
Next Sunday, June 4, at 03:00 p.m., 68 future Non-commissioned officers of the Colombian Navy will begin their embarkation stage with a solemn ceremony, which will open the 30-day voyage through the Caribbean Sea. In this environment, the students will strengthen their resources and skills in navigation maneuvers, contributing to the comprehensive training of the Naval Institution's crew members.
