The Army, the Police, the Prosecutor's Office and the Farmers' Committee are united for the safety and tranquility of farmers, ranchers and peasants.
The Eighth Brigade, with its military resources, launches the security plan, named Vaquería, a strategy for the protection and prevention of crimes against ranchers and peasants, in the Coffee Axis region.
In the Facilities of the livestock fair, in the municipality of Circasia, department of Quindío, the command of the Eighth Brigade, carabineros Police, Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Army and the Livestock Farmers Committee, launched the military security strategy, called Plan Vaquería, in order to attack the crimes that hit our farms and farmers producers, such as the theft of farm animals, extortion, butchering, among others, in this way strengthening security in all the municipalities of the department and its rural areas, contributing to economic progress of the region.
This initiative was well received by the livestock farmers, farmers and traders who joined together, with the purpose of betting on security, denouncing the irregularities in their territories.
In the same way, guidelines were given to lead an approach and also a reserved direct line between authorities, ranchers, farmers, merchants and peasants of the region.
