In order to continue supporting the 500 families hit by the floods, due to the rains over the weekend on the island of San Andrés, the Colombian Air Force sent a C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM, to transport 9.5 tons of humanitarian aid from Bogotá.
The humanitarian aid, made up of 364 food boxes, 245 mats and 500 blankets, was arranged by the National Government through the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management- UNGRD, to be transported towards the Caribbean Air Group- GACAR.
In the last two days, in coordination with the National Personnel Recovery Center- CENRP, the Colombian Air Force has arranged two aircraft, to carry out the transfer of aid to help in the emergency that arises on the island.
