In a Huey II Helicopter of the Air Combat Command No.6, CACOM 6 of the Colombian Air Force was transported pediatric biomedical equipment, it would cost in 45’000,000 COP to the Hospital E.S.E Fabio Jaramillo Londoño, in the municipality of Solano, department of Caquetá.
Thanks to the alliances made by the Colombian Air Force Comprehensive Action Center with the Friends of Colombia for Social Aid – FOCSA Foundation, a non-profit institution founded by Colombians living in the United Kingdom and Colombia, whose mission is to help improve the lives of the country's most disadvantaged children, it was possible to provide medical equipment to the municipal hospital, improving hospital care and quality of life for children and their families.
In order to continue providing support to the inhabitants of the Colombian southeast, this donation made by the foundation for prenatal, neonatal and childhood care of children, has vital signs monitors, electrocardiograph, defibrillator, heat lamp, fetal monitor, infusion pump, fetal dopler and an ultrasonic, with which the more than 15,000 inhabitants of the region will benefit, this being the second largest municipality in Colombia.
Given the care that transportation required and the importance of the distribution of these elements, the Air Institution in synergy with the National Army and the Navy of Colombia, made it possible to provide these technological resources, so that the hospital institution will strengthen its management for the preparation of care spaces for prenatal and pediatric patients who require it.
