For the possible crimes of Association to commit crimes, Narcotics Trafficking and Illicit Destination of Movable or Immovable Property, six people were arrested in a rural area of the municipality of Venadillo, department of Tolima, thanks to a joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office of the Nation.
According to information provided by the Judicial and Criminal Investigation Section in this department, the alleged perpetrators were part of the Organized Common Crime Group Los Cacharros, which for a year had been carrying out activities related to microtrafficking, specifically in the neighborhoods of Santofimio, Pueblo Nuevo, the invasion zone El Chircal, Pavimentos Colombia, Turumana and Lorenzo Urueña.
The effort made during the operation, by the men and women of Air Combat Command No.4, contributed to the dismantling, weakening and loss of the illicit activities of this organization; in addition to the arrests, 1,111 doses of bazuko (crack) and 1,780 grams of marijuana were found by troops.
