This finding prevented the commercialization of more than 115,500 doses of marijuana, valued at more than one billion pesos.
In the framework of coordinated operations conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, about 231 kilograms of marijuana were found by troops, which were being transported on a boat on the Amazonas River, in the municipality of Leticia.
Thanks to the river operations units and the guidance carried out by the Naval Intelligence of the Colombian Navy, in Leticia, it was possible to find 231 kilograms of creepy type marijuana, which were being transported in a rudimentary boat along the Amazonas River, which was abandoned on its banks.
During the inspection carried out on the ship, 14 barrels containing rectangular packages of the illegal substance were found by troops inside, which was destined for the city of Leticia, where it is presumed it was expected by members of common crime organizations.
With this finding, the commercialization of more than 115,500 doses of marijuana, valued at about 1,155,000,000 million pesos, was prevented, which will stop entering the multicrime organizations, reducing their capacity of damage the community.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities.
So far this year, the Amazonas Naval Force has found more than a ton of marijuana in this area of the country.
