These explosive charges of great destructive power had been planted on one of the main roads of the Urabá subregion.
Troops of the Seventeenth Brigade of Colombian National Army, through military operations, destroy two cylinder-type explosive devices, in the village Mono Macho, on the road that connects Turbo with San Pedro de Urabá, in the department of Antioquia.
These devices that were planted on the road and near houses contained more than 40 kilos of explosives. The technical soldiers of the anti-explosive group EXDE DELTA cordoned off the area and carried out all the security protocols for its controlled destruction.
According to the investigations, these explosive devices would have been installed by alleged members of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, which commits crimes in the region.
Colombian National Army rejects the indiscriminate use of non-conventional weapons by this criminal organization that attacks people and troops. The institution will file the corresponding denunciations.
