As a result of the efforts made to counter the problems resulting of the trafficking and manufacture of narcotics in the municipality of Guamo, department of Tolima, it was possible to weaken the operations of the Organized Gang Los de Moda, thanks to a joint, coordinated and interagency operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, National Army, National Police and the Attorney General's Office.
During the operation, nine people were arrested, including alias Luisa, alias Barba and alias El Negro, in different neighborhoods of this municipality such as El Ifa, el Carmen, San Martin and El Barroso village, who were being sought by arrest warrant for the crimes of association to commit crimes, trafficking, manufacture and carrying of narcotics, illicit destination of furniture or real estate and use of minors in crimes.
At the time of the arrests, 60 doses of cocaine, 103 doses of bazuco and 50 doses of marijuana were found by troops, with which it was possible to hit the gang's economy, because the sale of narcotics generated a monthly income of approximately 40,000,000 pesos.
