Within the framework of military operations, troops of the Seventh Brigade of Colombian National Army found and destroyed a laboratory for production coca base paste, it would cost more than 55 million pesos, which hits the chain of drug trafficking and illicit financing of organized armed groups that commit crimes in this region of the country.
Within the framework of the four strategic objectives of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, Infantry Battalion No.21 Batalla Pantano de Vargas, in interagency coordination with Prosecutor's Office No.57 Specialized anti-Drug Trafficking of Villavicencio, Meta, found and destroyed a rudimentary construction for production drugs (coca base), in the village of El Melón, municipality of Mapiripán.
In the place the soldiers found 50 kg of caustic soda, 50 kg of sodium sulfate, 50 kg of aluminum sulfate, 50 kg of lime, 6882 liters of DIESEL, 555 liters of thinner, 203 liters of petroleum and 148 liters of sulfuric acid, in the same way kitchenware and tools, among other materials.
The supplies and materials were put into custody of the authority in the municipality of Mapiripán, Meta.
