In a joint and coordinated effort, the Colombian Aerospace Force, in collaboration with the Twenty-Eighth Brigade, the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office, has dealt a significant blow against drug trafficking in the country.
In the vicinity of the village of Carimagua, municipality of Puerto Gaitán, department of Meta, it was learned, through military intelligence information, that an important material of hallucinogenic substances would be transported on route 38, the road that connects the village of Carimagua with the El Viento village, in the department of Vichada.
The rapid response of the military forces in the area led to the activation of strategic checkpoints. This operation culminated in the finding of more than 190 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and the arrest of three individuals, who were handed over to the relevant authorities along with the material evidence collected.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to fight against drug trafficking, highlighting the value of inter-institutional collaboration to preserve the security and well-being of society.
