The Lancero course has been par excellence one of the most recognized worldwide, for its high level of demand in physical, psychological and intellectual training, to be demonstrated by each of the participants.
After 68 years of forging and training officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and members of armies of other countries against persistent hybrid threats within the nation, the event has taken the knowledge to three continents: America, Europe and Asia, in the techniques, tactics and procedures of a standardized doctrine and framed in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, leading at the squad, platoon and company level these men, who were prepared to carry out military operations in any operation environment.
After successfully completing eight weeks of arduous training, 105 students from partner countries, such as Brazil, Ecuador, the United States, France, Panama and Colombia, as the host country, took part in the Courses of Lancero No.499 (national) Sixty-Eighth (LXVIII) (International) and 500 (national) Sixty-Ninth (LXIX) (International), who with honor and glory received the military badge that officially accredits them as Lanceros of Colombia and the world.
During the protocol events, General Helder Fernán Giraldo Bonilla, Commander of the Colombian Military Forces, accompanied by General Luis Mauricio Ospina Gutiérrez, Commander of Colombian National Army, presided over the ceremony and presented a group of officers with the military medal Faith in the Cause, in recognition of the operation they are carrying out to recover peace, maintaining order and democracy of the nation.
In the same way, the military commanders and the commander of the Lanceros School, in posthumous tribute, presented to the parents of Second Lieutenant Julián Alberto Uni Zúñiga (R.I.P.) the badge of the course to that one who, as a soldier gave his best by giving his soul, heart and even his last breath in the framework of the Lanceros course.
