Under the Unified operation of the State, the Colombian Navy distributed 46,000 liters of drinking water to vulnerable communities in the department of Córdoba and Bolívar.
The crew of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14 and the Navy Infantry Mobility Battalion No.1, arrived at the indigenous communities "La Estancia", "Castilleral" and "Del Brillante", in the rural area of the municipality from Lorica, in Córdoba, distributing 34,000 liters of the precious liquid, to 110 families that lacked water to meet their basic needs.
Similarly, in the municipality "El Salitral", municipality of Zambrano - Bolívar, the Navy troops distributed 12,000 liters of drinking water to 80 families in this community, with the purpose of mitigating the needs caused by water shortages in the region.
During the 2019, the Colombian Navy distributed 320,000 liters of drinking water to the towns hit by drought and high temperatures in the Caribbean region.
