In Puerto Rico, department of Meta, an alleged member of the GAO-r bloc Jorge Suárez Briceño was arrested and 220 kilograms of pentolite were destroyed. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were in the same way seized in the military operations.
As part of a joint military operation, troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 11 of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Sijín of the National Police, conducted a search procedure in the village of La Hermita, Puerto Rico, department of Meta.
During the operation, an individual known by the alias of Jimmi was arrested, who was allegedly a member of the Jhon Linares structure belonging to the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r Bloque Jorge Suárez Briceño
In the place was in the same way found an illicit hiding place containing:
- Two 5.56 mm caliber rifles
- A 9 mm caliber pistol
- A traumatic pistol
- Five magazines
- 215 cartridges of different calibers
In the same way, specialized personnel of the Direct Action and Reconnaissance Battalion N.° 11 carried out the controlled destruction of approximately 220 kilograms of pentolite, explosive elements that held a latent threat to the security of the communities and the Military Forces.
This result significantly reduces the armed, logistical and terrorist capacity of this residual structure.
The arrested and the confiscated items was put into custody of the authorities to continue with the judicial process, respecting due process at all times.
