The Colombian Navy, in the framework of a combined operation with the Navy of Ecuador and a unit of the United States, reported the finding and destructions of a rudimentary construction related to the construction of illegal naval devices in the sector of Canchimalero Island, Esmeraldas province, Republic of Ecuador.
Thanks to international cooperation, units of the Navy Infantry Brigade No. 4, in river control and surveillance work, found a rudimentary naval shipyard with accommodation capacity for 10 or 12 people.
During the procedure, 2,600 gallons of fuel, 40 containers, as well as fiberglass and resin were found by troops, elements used for the manufacture and adaptation of semi-submarines, which would be used by criminal organizations to transport illicit substances abroad
