In a joint military operation conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force and Colombian National Army, carried out in the Toldas sector, Chocó department, a Huey II aircraft was deployed to carry out reconnaissance and air escort missions, with the purpose of countering the illegal acts committed by the ELN gang in which they carried out the illegal detention of 39 people, including two minors, as well as the blockade of the Quibdó–Carmen de Atrato road.
During the mission, the helicopter crew works to ensure the safety of Colombian National Army troops on the ground, in addition to providing real-time information, which facilitated decision-making during the operation, which later enables the rescue of citizens, in strict compliance with Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
