The experience of the Colombian Aerospace Force continues to transcend borders. In San José, Costa Rica, military instructors of the Air Combat Command No.1, in Puerto Salgar, department of Cundinamarca, they led a specialized course in Command and Control aimed at members of the Air Surveillance Police and the Border Police of that country.
The training, carried out at Base Two of the Juan Santamaría International Airport, combined theoretical knowledge and practical exercises to strengthen personnel resources in aircraft tracking, the identification of possible threats and the coordination of operations for the protection of airspace.
As a result of the knowledge exchange, the participants strengthened tools to detect illicit air traffic, analyze risk situations and make timely decisions to face challenges in regional security, contributing to more efficient and coordinated surveillance.
This initiative is part of the Joint Action Plan on Regional Security and reaffirms the commitment of the Aerospace Force, through the National Air and Anti-aircraft Defense System School, to international cooperation, strengthening the resources of allied countries and building a safer airspace for the region.
