With this result, the production of alkaloids is neutralized and the finances of the organizations are hit.
Caquetá. Troops of the Sixth Division of the National Army in fulfillment of the Diamante Plan and in development of an operation with the National Police focused on attacking drug trafficking, destroyed a laboratory that produced coca base paste in the municipality of Puerto Rico, in the department of Caquetá.
The structure in which precursors and elements for the illegal activity were found was in the village La Argentina, of the municipality of La Esmeralda, where troops of the ground Operations Battalion No. 21 of the Jupiter Stabilization and Consolidation Command conducted operations.
On the site there were 260 kilos of coca leaf, two kilos of ammonium sulfate, 20 gallons of gasoline and a scythe. Two men, 30 and 23 years old, were put into custody of the authorities, accused of the alleged crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics.
For the amount of raw material, it is estimated that this structure had the capacity to produce 130 kilos of narcotics. With this operation, the troops ratify the fulfillment of their mission, to work hard to neutralize the instability situations in the territory.
