In the framework of the Christmas Diamante plan, the finances of the criminal structures continue to be damaged.
In territorial control operations, troops of the Quirón Task Force in coordination with the taxes and Customs Police and the Colombian Agricultural Institute ICA, captured an individual in the village of San Salvador, in the municipality of Tame. He was transporting 311 gallons of contraband fuel in a vehicle that was part of the finance subsystem of the “Marta Helena Barón” Group of the Eln, which is considered a blow to the criminal structure.
On the other hand, in a military checkpoint on the main road axis of the village of Bocas del Juju in the municipality of Arauquita, a member of the Gao-Eln Terrorism Support Networks was captured when he was transporting 500 gallons contraband DIESEL.
In both operations the individuals and the flammable material were put into custody of the authority.
The National Army will continue to carry out territorial control operations in the plains region, counteracting any act of criminality that may hit its inhabitants and its economy, restricting contraband and providing peace and security.
