In the framework of the LXI Conference of Chiefs of Air Forces of the United States –LXI CONJEFAMER that is carried out from 14 to 19 June in the city of Tegucigalpa – Honduras, general Ramses Rueda Rueda, Commander of the Colombian Air Force, presented to the Commanders of the Air Forces and Equivalent Services, assistants to the LXI CONJEFAMER, the information corresponding to the concept of strategic and operational Exercise COOPERATION VII of the System of Cooperation conducted by the American Air Forces – SICOFAA, which will be merged with the third edition of the Angel de los Andes International Disaster Risk Management and Personnel Recovery Exercise, scheduled to be held in August 2021 in Colombia.
His speech led to delve into aspects of planning such as the personnel involved, missions to be carried out, projection of air assets to be conducted and the goals to be achieved, highlighting the importance of this Exercise, as it leads training under a combined multinational scheme, as well as the use of air power, response Resources and humanitarian assistance, for the management of large-scale natural disasters to be faced by SICOFAA resources.
On the other hand, considering the evolution of cooperation at the level of the SICOFAA, during these six days, the Commanders and representatives of Air Forces of the continent, will analyze the importance and impact of integrating the Concept of Health Services in Humanitarian Support, and the Resources, Space in the operations of the SICOFAA, as elements essential for facing the new challenges of the environment, confirming the importance of working together for the strengthening of the Resources of each of the institutions, for the benefit of the peoples of America.
