Caquetá. Troops of the Military Forces in a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work with the Army Intelligence Command, the National Police and the Nation's Attorney General's Office under the 'Diamante' Plan, captured seven members, apparently of the residual Organized Armed Group (GAO), Structure 62, who commit crimes in Caquetá.
After months of intelligence work, the troops of the Joint Task Force 'Omega' and the National Police, arrived in Puerto Betania, rural area of Caquetá, to make effective the capture warrants of these individuals, among whom there is alias ‘Anyi’ o ‘Tartaja’, ‘Chuzo’ o ‘El Flaco’, ‘Morocho’, ‘Rastrillo’ y ‘Drácula’, accused of committing crimes in this area of the country, commanded by their leader alias “Rodrigo Cadete”.
'Tartaja' would be the head of the commission of finances and public order of the aforementioned structure, responsible for the collection of extortion money against farmers and merchants in the region. In the same way, he would be the one who coordinated the logistics and war material for the structure 40 and the structure 62. In the same way, he would be responsible for the collection, purchase and marketing of coca base paste, forced recruitment and displacement.
Alias 'El Flaco', 'Morocho', 'Rastrillo' and 'Dracula', in addition to provide security to 'Tartaja', carried out functions as links of criminal intelligence against the military and police units that operate in the area, extorted merchants, cheese makers and ranchers and they also serve transporting war material.
In the operation, troops also found communications equipment, war material, military garments and cash.
