Valle del Cauca. In territorial and fluvial maritime control operations, in the department of Valle del Cauca and the Department of Chocó, troops of the National Navy found 3,405 cubic meters of wood, which were transported without the permits issued by the corresponding environmental authorities.
In the Bay of Buenaventura and in the sector of La Bocana, the Naval Force of the Pacific through its units of Coastguards, carried out in different operations the interdiction of five boats that transported about 1,900 pieces of wood, equivalent to 444 cubic meters.
In the same way, at the kilometer seven, which leads to Bajo Calima, rural sector of the municipality of Buenaventura, a truck was immobilized when it illegally transported 15 cubic meters of wood.
This wood was apparently extracted from the department of Chocó and was being transported by the San Juan River to Buenaventura, where its sale would take place.
In the Department of Chocó, during the operations carried out in the area of Docordó and the Litoral San Juan, 2,210 pieces of wood equivalent to 2,946 cubic meters were found by troops, when they were transported in three boats.
During the operations there were no arrests nor immobilization of boats or vehicles. The wood was put into custody of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Valle del Cauca - CVC Buenaventura, the police inspector of Docordó and the Regional Autonomous Corporation for Sustainable Development of Department of Chocó, CodedeChocó.
